Anybody try this stuff from Costco?
Dunno if this is a good deal, or not. Anyone have any experience with this stuff?

This product has been discussed on other forums I view. You'd be better off putting your money in canned goods, MRE's, or Mountain House. Not that the stuff in the bucket is bad, just overpriced.

Re: Anybody try this stuff from Costco?
Has anybody tasted the stuff on the sites that discussed it? There may be fewer choices for vegetarians, which might justify having this if it actually tastes good.
Though I agree you can build your own bucket exactly matched to what your family likes to have, providing the best enjoyment plus bang for your buck. But if some GIMer has a vegetarian kid, getting them this might be a thing to do, if it tastes good. We taste tested Mt House menus before buying and some we actively like (in a junk food kind of way) and some we can't choke down, and are not sure we could if we were starving. So I would not recommend buying anything you can't get taste reviews of. For Mt House we bought little camping servings before ordering cases of big cans. |
